At the end of the 1990s, Jadranka Juras made a bold step in her musical career as she joined the pop band Planet Groove, which later released two CD albums:  Livin` on Planet Earth and Zakon Groovitacije.

Later, she upgraded her vocal and musical skills at the JAZZ INSTITUT KUNSTUNIVERSITAT in Graz, where she obtained her degree in jazz singing with Prof. Deni DeRose in 2008.

The combination of jazz singing, influences of the contemporary popular music, and the desire to make original music has led Jadranka to author two albums of original songs: a debut album Anima and its successor, Sakura. Both received excellent reviews and the singles from both albums made it to the top of the charts at Slovenia’s most important radio stations. During her career, Jadranka has worked with all major composers and musicians in Slovenia, and held a number of concerts in Slovenia and abroad.

Important milestones:

In 2001/2002 Jadranka hosted a popular music show, Videospotnice, on the national TV, and won the ŠANSON festival organised by Cafe Teater and Slovenia’s national radio.

In 2002 she appeared on the EUROSONG 2002 stage in Estonia with Slovenian band Sestre.

In the same year, she won the SLOVENSKA POPEVKA festival award of the expert jury.

In 2002 she performed at EMA with her own song, Anima, which announced the arrival of her first debut album of the same name.

In 2008  Jadranka graduated from the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz and hosted several music workshops (also  as a co-mentor of renowned jazz singer Judy Niemack at Jazzinty 07), and performed with Laibach on their tour of Europe.

In 2009 her second album, Sekura, came out. She also decided to take up soloist singing lessons.

In 2012 she made her debut on the stage of SNG Ljubljana in H. Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas, and performed several soloist recitals across Slovenia.

In the same year she accepted an invitation by conductor Emmanuel Villaume and went on a European tour with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Slovenian Philharmonic Choir (with a concert version of Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta).

In 2014 she sang a role in W. A. Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and was invited by Tibor Kerekeš, soloist of the Slovenian Philharmonic, to feature on his new solo album Meetings.

At the end of 2015 she made her debut performance at the Narodna divadlo moravskoslezske opera house in the Czech Republic, singing the part of Sara in G. Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux.

In 2016 Jadranka Juras released her first jazz music album titled "Paris Honey”. , which includes nine jazz standards and one original song.
