Cello Attacca! impressed the audience

19 July 2016

The Cello Attacca! Viva Vivaldi! concert on Saturday was the final concert of the 21st International Music Festival Bled, which began on the 1st July. It included twelve concerts where the audience could enjoy different musical genres: from classical music to jazz and the French chansons.

In the context of the festival music was connected with dancing and fine art: at the opening of the festival we could meet the author of this year’s festival’s image Vinko Bogataj; at the opening of the exhibition of Kunstverein Velden / Umetniško društvo Vrba members we could enjoy in the dancing of the Sorbian folklore dance group Schmerlitz.

This year more than 90 young artists took part in the festival’s master classes and jazz and ethnic music workshops. The young artists performed their own concerts under the leadership of their teachers, who, as their students, come from all over the world. This year the visitors were also able to listen to the teachers who performed with their students. So we were able to hear a visiting soloist, the master of the violin, Saewon Suh at the Bled Castle and at the concert at the Grand Hotel Toplice we were able to enjoy the magnificence of the violinist Piotr Jasiurkowski.
