EDITA GARČEVIČ - KOŽELJ, after graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade (Bachelor of Law), decided to study solo singing at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, which she completed with honours. She continued her postgraduate studies in Vienna, where she also graduated with honours. During her studies in Vienna she performed various roles in various institutions (Wiener Taschen Oper, Schoenbrunn Theater, Theresianum, Oesterreichische Junges opern theater - Medium, Gianni Schichi, Orpheus, The Marriage of Figaro,... ).


She is active as a concert and opera singer. In the concert field, she has sung a wide range of music, from Baroque, great oratorio and religious works to works by the great masters of the autosong, performing at home and abroad. As a member of the SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana (since 1998), she has sung various roles (Dorabella, Paulina, Driade, Lisinga, Fidalma, Kascheyevna, Vanja, Tatiana, Marcelina, Suzuki, Magdalena, Smeraljdina, Linetta, Berta...). Since 1997 she has been successfully teaching singing at the Ljubljana Conservatory.
