Alfred Scheikl was born in 1961 in Klagenfurt, Austria. His parents wanted him to become a toolmaker although even he has always been drawn to fine arts. At the start of a new period in life, he decided to pursue his passion. In the years 2012-2016 he attended the Carinthian Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Prof. Luka Antičevič, and perfected his skills and knowledge with professors Peter Kohl, Rene Fadinger and Astrid Langer. Since 2017 Scheikl has been the presidents of the Velden Arts Society.

Scheikl has developed an individual and distinctive artistics style based on abstract and fractal elements. He is responsible for the graphic image of 2017 Festival Bled.
