Grand Finale with Cello attacca!
20th Jubilee Festival Bled ended with a blast, just as it started a good fortnight ago. Prof. Karmen Pečar and her students managed to forge the audience to their seats, as they did last year in their first ever appearance, which was also at Festival Bled.
Cello attacca! is a cello ensemble made up of the current and former students of Prof. Karmen Pečar. As an instrument, the cello permits various combinations and a wide selection of musical pieces. Such an ensemble also provides young cellists with a valuable experience of playing in a chamber group and helps them develop their listening skills which are of key importance for string musicians.
The idea for this ensemble came from the Cellomania project in which Karmen Pečar has acted as concert master for many years. As she has grown so close to this cellist movement, she is now aware of the importance of such cooperation and wishes to share her experience with the other cellists.
The band also includes Vita Peterlin, Urban Marinko, Urban Megušar, Romana Šimbera, Zala Vidic in Petra Hafner.
