MILČINSKI-guest
Once upon a time
there lived a granny, grandad and granddaughter. Granny took care of
granddaughter, and grandad wrote songs, also about her. And if we show what we
hide, and hide what we show, we will see the Voice (and Music) of granddaughter
who used her grandad's words to paint her own world of sound. Frane Milčinski is
grandad and Ježek, and he dreams images in many languages of love; Nana
Milčinski is granddaughter, who sends a humble message to her granddad per
aspera ad astra that Desire needs Image. And if the world of romance should
have an esthetic introduction, the following best summarizes Nana's tribute to
her grandfather: "And our ears tune in for the most beautiful tribute I have
ever heard, a homage of the heart, a homage of the word and sound, carrying two
meanings in a single sentence. Like Heart, the organ of Desire and Voice, the
crossroads on the way to – give me what you have not. Heart, which, according
to Roland Barthes, hurts. It hurts because it is overborne, because only the
heart of people in love and children can ache. And this is the message which
Frane Milčinski Ježek and Nana Milčinski wish to communicate on this noble
musical walk along the chords of longing.”
