Flutist Jurka Zoroja prof. - academic musician, graduated at
the Ljubljana
Academy of Music in Ljubljana under prof. Boris Čampa.
During her studies she received many prestigious
music awards, among others the student Prešeren Prize and
first place at the
Yugoslav Music Academy Competition in Belgrade. She
completed her postgraduate studies at
Karla Maria von Weber" Music School in Dresden in the
class of Prof. Arndt Schone.
From 1982 to 1992 she was a solo flutist of the Slovenian
National Theatre of Opera and
and at the same time an associate professor at the Ljubljana
Academy of Music.
She has collaborated with many Slovenian artists in solo
concerts and with organists;
Hubert Bergant, Tonet Potočnik, Cecilia Kobal, Renata Bauer,
Dalibor
Miklavčič, pianists; Primož Lorenz, Milivoj Šurbek, Vlasta
Doležal - Rus,
Gregor Dešman, Vladimir Mlinaric, Maja Tajnšek, harpists;

She has performed as a soloist at many music festivals at
home and abroad - Zagorje ob Savi,
Bled Festival, Bovec, Metlika, Maribor Festival, Summer in
Old Ljubljana, Ljubljana
Ljubljana, Ljubljana Magistrat, Cavtat, Mlini and Dubrovnik.
In 2018

Her artistic interpretation spans all stylistic periods of
solo and chamber flute playing.
Her playing has also received excellent reviews from
professional critics. She is distinguished by her extremely beautiful
tone, logical phrasing and great dynamic range.
Her rich and long-standing pedagogical work has been
confirmed in recent years by the establishment of the
the first private school for the recorder and transverse
flute in Slovenia. Today, the school is already represented by
all instruments and solo singing. This year the school
celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary. Professor
Jurka Zoroja is an excellent musician and pedagogue, who
also follows what is happening in her work.

competitions, especially in
abroad. In 2012, under her mentorship, the Artistic Academy
of
Music and Fine Arts Academy, which brings together artists
from both genres and uses its premises in the
Ljubljana's city centre for gallery activities.
She has given concerts on many European stages and in the
United States.
Maja Tajnšek comes from a distinguished musical family from
Idrija.She has more than 30 years of success and teaching experience.For many
years she has worked at her home school, the Idrija Grammar School, as well as
at other grammar schools.Currently she works through her private school, at the
Stična Grammar School, the Vič Grammar School in Ljubljana and as an
accompanist and pianist.In her career, she has won more than 150 prizes with
her pupils at regional, national and international competitions and more than
50 prizes with her accompanists.
She started learning piano at the age of five in her native
Idrija. After completing her schooling and studies, she then, while still
working full-time, first undertook a two-year experimental school for teaching
highly talented pupils with the Russian Prof. Siyavush Gadzhiev in Gorizia,
Italy ( 1995 .-1997). The title of her diploma thesis at the end of this study
was a comparison of Liszt's Transcendental Etudes with the Etudes op.1. In
2001, at the invitation of Prof. Igor Lazko, she enrolled for a one-year
specialisation at the A. Scriabin Slavonic Conservatory in Paris.
In 2009 she enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Educational
Sciences at the Faculty of Education of the University of Primorska , where she
successfully completed 2 years of her doctoral studies.She is particularly
interested in the phenomenon of the positive or healing effect of music on
well-being, and the theoretical and practical scientific framework of talent
and early involvement of children in learning to play an instrument,
In 2012 she decided to study piano at the Academy of Fine
Arts in Belgrade with Prof. Dr. Valdma, and in May 2013, together with only 1
other candidate, she completed her studies with a specialist examination with
honours and a concert in Belgrade.
Maja Tajnšek has attended numerous masterclasses at home and
abroad for more than 15 years. She has studied at various venues over the last
years ; Geneva, Feldkirchen, Heidelberg, Vienna, Parnu, Ajdovščina, Podsreda,
Zemono, Paris, Dubrovnik, Sp.Idrija, Haus Marteau, Belgrade, etc. She has
participated in festivals and concert evenings such as Tango Festival Idrija,
Castle Evenings at Gewerkenegg Castle, Lange Nacht der Kirchen in Vienna, Light
Beyond Peace in Graz, EPTA World Piano Conference in Novi Sad, 40th Idrija
Sculpture Festival, concerts or guest appearances in Heidelberg, Koeln ,
Belgrade / Guarneris concert with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of
Slovenia , Ljubljana ( Music for Peace , Russian Centre of Science and Culture
etc.,) Dubrovnik, summer and winter festival Sulveuni and Talveuni in Parnu,
Estonia, Geneva, Zemon and many other places. She regularly performs concerts
with renowned musicians in various ensembles, recordings and premiere
performances of Slovenian and foreign composers, as well as promotions abroad,
where she often promotes the local cultural musical heritage. She is also a
holder of the Distance Learning School licence (Studio Kreator) for the
Slovenian, Croatian, German, Italian markets (beginner and advanced level). She
has recorded a CD of the Most Beautiful Slovenian Songs with tenor Andrej
Ažman, and a large part of her musical legacy.
